Opening Ceremony

The opening ceremony will take place in the Chamber Room of the Polish National Philharmonic Hall in Warsaw in the presence of our honorary guest, the Polish composer Wojciech Kilar. There will be a reception party after the AMFC Vocal Consort concert at the end of the official ceremony.



Monday July 11th - 7.00 p.m.

Concert: Old Warsaw Songs
(the ticket price: 40,00 PLN)

John Paul II Collection Museum
Plac Bankowy 3, Warszawa

The musical show includes songs and poetry presenting the changes that took place between 1920s and 1980s in the life of the city and its people. Songs of urban folklore as well as those composed by established cabaret artists such as Jerzy Petersburski, Władysław Szpilman, Henryk Wars and others will be performed. During the interval there will be an opportunity to view the pictures from the Porczyński Gallery.

The Royal Castle
Plac Zamkowy 4, Warszawa

The Royal Castle has cherished a long tradition of musical life. The first opera performance in Poland took place here during the reign of King Władysław IV. The royal court musicians used to deliver performances of operas composed by the greatest composers of the 17th century. Today, concerts continue the tradition established by these musicians.

The Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw, Concert Hall

The Academy of Music in Warsaw is the oldest and largest school of music in Poland and also one of the oldest in Europe. It is heir to a nearly two hundred-year old tradition of public music teaching in Warsaw. The school takes pride in its superb alumni - the greatest of them being Fryderyk Chopin. Although the figure of Fryderyk Chopin towers over the others, the school has produced numerous musicians of international fame.



Friday, July 15th - 7.00 p.m.
Farewell Dinner
(the ticket price: 55,00 EUR - for delegates & accompanying persons)


The Farewell Dinner will take place in Ożarów, 14 kilometres from Warsaw in the elegant and romantic restaurant of the Best Western Hotel Mazurkas. We will enjoy the last evening together tasting traditional Polish cuisine and listening to Polish music.

Accompanying persons are invited to attend one-day tours organised especially for them.
 

  • A short city sightseeing tour with a guide, time for purchasing Polish souvenirs, attending the practical course on Polish cuisine prepared by one of Warsaw's restaurants (cooking of Polish dishes followed by tasting).

  • Visiting Warsaw's museums and galleries.

  • Panoramic city sightseeing.
